New job
This has been a fairly long time coming but I didn't want to discuss it until it was done. As of November 28, 2006, I am officially leaving accounting and starting a new position as a Director of Operations/Executive Assistant for a small software company. Everything about the position is great so I'm very excited.
I have a lot of respect for my current employers as they successfully run an entire tax accounting firm as a huband and wife team while maintaining a terrific sense of humor and a spirit of integrity and kindness. They, along with my coworker, are like family to me. It is because of this that I had a very difficult time making the decision to leave even though I have known for a while that accounting was not for me. I will truly miss working with them. Fortunately we don't live far from each other so I'm sure it's not the last I will see of them.
So that is the big news in my life right now. Thanks for reading. :)
